Sharon Sanchez is the founder of Serenity Gardens and More, a vision birthed from her deepening relationship with God and a passion for biblical stewardship. Though she grew up in a home where gardening was a way of life, she initially only enjoyed the harvest, never fully engaging in the care of the plants. It wasn’t until later in life that she began to see the true significance of the garden—not just as a place of provision, but as a sacred space of restoration, stewardship, and connection with God.
Her journey into farming and stewardship took root when she embraced the Creation Mandate—God’s original design for mankind to rule over and care for His creation. She took this calling to heart, caring for a variety of animals, including birds, fish, dogs, rabbits, and quail. Her perspective shifted even further when she discovered the USDA’s definition of a farm: any place producing or selling at least $1,000 worth of agricultural products per year. This revelation, along with the teachings of Dr. Myles Munroe on the Kingdom of God, reshaped her understanding of true biblical stewardship. She realized that farming wasn’t just about growing food—it was about managing and maximizing God-given resources wisely.
In a season of seeking God's voice, Sharon was drawn to nature, visiting the Grand Canyon and surrounding lakes, where she experienced a powerful renewal and connection with God. She saw how Jesus and other biblical figures often withdrew to nature to seek the Father, reinforcing her belief that the garden is more than just a place to grow food—it is a place of restoration, communion, and divine revelation.
Her passion for growing was further ignited by Facebook Reels from Creative Explained, inspiring her to grow everything from avocados to mangoes and pineapples. As she studied more about farming God’s way, she discovered that true stewardship integrates the Creation Mandate, the Great Commission, and Isaiah 58’s call to the true fast—which is to feed the hungry, care for the poor, and restore broken places.
With a heart for teaching others about biblical stewardship, sustainable living, and Kingdom farming, Sharon asked God to guide her—and from that prayer, Serenity Gardens and More was born. Through workshops, classes, and hands-on learning experiences, she helps individuals and communities reconnect with God through nature, cultivate abundance, and steward creation as an act of worship and Kingdom expansion.
